In and Around Lititz
Restaurant Recommendations from Our Members and Friends
Restaurants with their name in Bold have gluten-free menus or options.
1. Knight and Day Diner across from Brethren Village and just the next light south of the airport on PA 501 South. They are consistently good, a huge selection, and open 24/7.
2. According to one member, here are the three best places in town. First, the Bull’s Head Public House / Lititz Springs Inn. Both are located in the same building near the town square, just on either side of the lobby, and they have the same menu. At the Inn, you can make reservations, and have a server take your order. At the pub, it’s first come first served, and you go to the bar to order your drinks and food. (Recommend you arrive by 4 p.m.) I prefer the traditional pub favorite, fish and chips, and of course a fine ale to wash it down!
Second, for Italian take out downtown, my preference is Roma Pizza, 54 E. Main St. Great food for whatever your take-out pleasure might be. (Several others mentioned Roma’s.)
Third, for THE BEST BURGER hands down, is the Lititz Springs Snack Bar (in the park just across from the band shell). They are open only in season from Memorial Day until Labor Day. And their hours are from lunch through 6 p.m., but order your burger by 5:15 as they close the grill at 5:45. Closed on Sundays unless there is a special event at the park.
3. Another member says: Our favorite after church by far is Isaac’s, at 4 Crosswinds Dr! From S. Broad St, turn right onto Crosswinds about 1.5 miles south of downtown They have a bird theme for all of their yummy sandwiches – my favorite is the Whooping Crane on a pretzel roll! They always have a wide selection of soups and a relaxed atmosphere that’s fun for all ages. Lunch and lite dinner. Open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
4. Several members recommend Tomato Pie Café, 23 N. Broad St. One says it is their go-to place after church (and other days too) for tasty food served with a smile. A place where everybody knows your name and your favorite drink. Another member says: This is a wonderful restaurant with delicious healthy food options and lovely teas and coffees.
5. Another member recommends The Brazilian Table, 26 E. Main St. They have the most original food in town. Enjoy the home-like atmosphere. Closed Monday. Open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (later Fri, Sat, and Sun.)
6. Several members recommend the Brickerville House Restaurant about five miles north of downtown Lititz at the corner of PA 501 and US 322. A favorite spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a wide menu selection. They also serve “fancy” coffee drinks as well as cocktails. We’ve always enjoyed our meals plus it’s fun to check out the shops at the village and their unique offerings. Welcome to the area!
7. Lititz Pizza Company at 18 Copperfield Circle (Corner of PA 501 North and Newport Rd): Great pizza, good food, reasonable prices, great selection and old-time atmosphere.
8. Appalachian Brewing Company, 55 N. Water St. — Very hearty sandwiches, good food and reasonable prices. 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. (10:30 p.m. Fri and Sat)
9. Mojo’s Asian Cuisine and Sushi Bar at The Shoppes at Bloomfield Village, 245 Bloomfield Dr #107 (across from Brethren Village). Good food, nice people – not just sushi, “normal” food too!
10. Slate Café, 43 E. Main St. — for breakfast and lunch 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
11. Fiorentino’s Italian Restaurant, 500 Airport Rd. From S. Broad St. (PA 501 south), turn at the Sheetz In about one-third mile, turn left towards the airport onto Airport Rd. In about one-third of a mile, turn left at the sign. The restaurant is in the main terminal building. Open 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (Until midnight Friday and Saturday). Kitchen closes one hour before restaurant.
12. Several members also recommend Bruno’s Hoagies, 11 E. Kleine Ln. (next to Wilbur Chocolate).
13. And if you are looking for a free lunch every Wednesday, try our Lunch with Luke here at our church. We serve to any and all who come, starting at 11:30 a.m and ending at 1 p.m. every Wednesday. (The only exceptions are the Wednesdays before Christmas Day and New Years Day)
